But I wondered about that pot on the left. It looked like the deep fry pan, but not quite.
That was the Lodge 2 quart stew pan. It was the same depth as the deep fry pan, but only 7 1/4 inches, and had its own special sized lid*.
*The deep fry pan is 8 inches, so it can share a lid with the 8 inch skillet and 2 quart serving pot.
I have the deep fry pan, but not the stew pan. There's no reason why I couldn't make stew in the deep fry pan, though. Or in any dutch oven!
The stew pan is almost impossible to find, so I'll just have to stay happy with making stew in the deep fry pan or dutch ovens.
