Lentil soup

I usually cook dried beans overnight in a crock pot, so first I cooked the lentils overnight.

Then in a cast iron pot, I heated up olive oil, added chopped onions, cilantro, minced garlic.

Then added the cooked beans, water and all (bean water makes good stock).

Added canned tomatoes, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, seasoned salt.

Added a little chicken broth and some ham. Simmered.

I plan to eat this with rice.
