I love to cook, and where I am living now, I don't get to cook as much as I used to.
But occasionally it IS my turn to cook. Sadly, I had to sell most of my cast iron, and the rest of the pieces I still have, are in storage.
But I do still have my crock pot. So, I made the following recipe for crock pot beef stew:
Cut up some flank steak into cubes. Brown them on the stove in a skillet, in cooking oil and worcestershire sauce. Add black pepper, seasoned salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Put the browned meat in the crock pot. Add potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, garlic.
Add more worcestershire sauce, a can of cream of chicken soup, a can of cream of onion soup, a can of beef broth, a packet of Lipton onion soup mix, and a little bit of Kitchen Bouquet.
Turn on the crock pot.
This is a good dutch oven recipe too!
