Granted, up until this year, I have been using it in a BBQ pit, but this year, I used it on top of the stove with the same wonderful results (though I missed the woodsy flavor). Don't add much water; let it roast in his own juices. They say that fried turkey is "good" while turkey in their roaster is "fantastic". It's the other way around.

The BEST turkey I've ever had was fried although it's incredibly bad for you and a bit of a hassle.greenturtlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03297069162518799805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1980904905258219119.post-16195188884182349602011-02-13T17:07:29.485-08:002011-02-13T17:07:29.485-08:00To me, turket is best left to an oven or barbecure...To me, turket is best left to an oven or barbecure grill. While I've tried turket that's been cooked in an UTR, I don't like the way the bird is steamed. Modern turkey is best roasted in dry heat. I leave the Dutch oven for other applications.'Round the Chuckboxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14986737631678120373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1980904905258219119.post-52450263092438897892011-02-13T16:26:53.019-08:002011-02-13T16:26:53.019-08:00you must use that outdoors? over coals or on a pr...you must use that outdoors? over coals or on a propane stove?greenturtlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03297069162518799805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1980904905258219119.post-66867641964318820122011-02-12T21:47:32.613-08:002011-02-12T21:47:32.613-08:00Try the Maca 12x16, It will fit up to a 20lb. turk...Try the Maca 12x16, It will fit up to a 20lb. turkey, and roast it in 2 hours.
