The Lodge roaster - discontinued

This was the Lodge roaster, sold in the early 90's. It came with a lid that doubled as a griddle.

It looked like the fish pan, but it was not, although you could use it for fish if you wanted.

The fish pan was 20 x 12 x 3 and had no lid. This pan was 20 x 9 x 4 1/4.

That would make it a 13 quart dutch oven.

It looks like the former Emerilware smoker, also discontinued.

  1. I wish someone made something in this basic shape, but with legs and a rim on the lid. I would use it for sooo many things, including fish, french bread, etc...

If any D. O. manufacturers are reading this...

  2. That would be pretty cool!

I suppose since the lid is flat you can still put coals on top if you're careful, and use two texsport 4 in 1 trivets to hold them up over coals. See my article on rigging up a camp oven.
